Their many features placed them ahead of their competition. Operator comfort and ease of operation made these tractors very attractive to their owners. Their full line of quick detach implements made them very versatile. The late D-series Allis Chalmers tractors had multiple disc wet high and low power clutch - this made them even more popular by offering more speed selection, LPTO, and longer life as compared to their competitor's dry clutch torque amplifier system. Allis Chalmers was the 1st to replace steel tractor wheels with rubber ! Those who really love Allis-Chalmers tractors are said to bleed orange ! Whether or not this is true - the Allis-Chalmers Company of Milwaukee has survived the tough agricultural industry for over 100 years.....
